SmartPool PoolEye In-Ground Pool Alarm with Remote Review

This was way too complicated for what it does. There are a bunch of buttons and a lever on the front that control its different modes, but not an intuitive button on the thing. Too many false alarms, and when our pool guy turns it off, he never remembers to turn it on. Useless.
It would be so easy to design right - a single switch to shut it off for an hour would make it 100x more usable.
Strengths:
- contacts on the remote for remote alarm connection.
- fail-safe mode for the remote to squack when the connection is lost.
- power supply for the remote so you don't need batteries.
Weaknesses:
- batteries are extremely difficult to change.
- sticky pads don't hold it to the pool edge.
- complicated arming procedure is too easy to mess up.
