I am not sure what door this would work for. I would say I have a "normal" size sliding glass door and the alarm was WAY too big. Looks like it would work great if you had the right size door although alarm did not seem to be loud enough to be heard upstairs in a two story house. It looks like you need a 1.5 inch gap between the sliding door and the fixed door to work. I looked at my moms door, my sisters door, my neighbors door, and even a few friends sliding doors to see if any of them could use it and not one of them had a large enough space. Hope this helps prevent someone from buying a alarm that would not work for their door. We ended up using the Heath Zenith SL-6168-D Wireless Plug-In Chime with Entry-Alert Sensor, White. I was able to plug it in upstairs and was very loud. Worked so good we got one for our front door, and door leading to the garage as well (they have several chime options so you know what door is opening) We went with a National Mfg. N183640 Patio Door Security Pin, simple and cheap but out of reach from the kids and gets the job done.
