(More customer reviews)I have around 20 Kidde 1275 smoke detectors installed by my contractor, and I was shocked how sensitive they are, going off if we cook nealy anything that involves a small amount of smoke. I might not fault them for that if it saves lives, but it is not necessary. A worse problem is that they turned yellow against our white ceilings after only 2 years, and need to be replaced unless we wish the smoke detectors to be the "highlight" of our ceilings.
Don't buy them![...]
