(More customer reviews)I've had this alarm for more than 6 months. It's great. It's hooked up to my almost tired-less sump pump. It has sounded the alarm 2 times recently. My super overworked sump pump has taken a break twice, so the alarm let me know when the water reach a certain level in the sump pump well. After clicking a button on the unit to turn it off (the unit resets automatically at that point), I simply moved the sump pump cover over to see what's going on. My sump pump wakes up and starts working like a champ again.
I'm convinced that my home is near a water table. It's located at the bottom of a hill, so that probably causes underground water to rise too.
I highly recommend the sump pump alarm. It sounds the alarm loud enough to hear it throughout a two level home. The 9v battery back up also puts my mind at ease. It's easy to install and it's solidly built.
