This is the cheapest of a series of emergency 12v pumps from Basement Watchdog. Works as advertised.
Note pump does not include the deep discharge (DD) battery, buy it separately. Important: although it looks and acts like your normal 12v automotive battery, a DD battery is made differently. A car battery would probably work fine - but maybe only once! So spring for the DD model. (also known as a marine battery.)
Installation was straight-forward and it's worked fine in ~2 years of use. We've had power outages a half dozen times, longest was ~12 hours so the claimed 48 hours of use has not been tested.
One complaint: when the power goes off, the pump alarm goes off and can *not* be turned off! Sounds like a whawling love-sick cat. :-( If your power goes off frequently, buy the next model up - otherwise expect all the cats in the neighborhood to come visiting.
