(More customer reviews)I received three units (I ordered two, and had one replaced). ALL of them have the exact same problem -- they randomly turn on. Specifically, the motion sensor works with no noticeable problems: the lights turn on when the motion is detected and turn off after a timeout. But, the outlet receiver unit has a problem, namely it randomly turns on the light by itself. I tested this by pulling out the batteries from the motion sensor and the wireless remote control; within an hour the lights just go on (and since this was no initiated by the sensor they never go off). This could be due to interference in my house, so I tried all four channels (even tried pulling out the channel selection pin altogether), lights still turn on.
I have a different set of motion sensor activated lights now and no problems, and, additionally, I own a remote controlled outlet. All these other units never have had any problems with interference, so this particular motion-sensor controlled outlet is either: (A) very sensitive to undetermined interference on all channels, or (B) simply does not work.
Since I have tried three of these units, either cause, (A) or (B), makes this unit absolutely useless for me and, very likely, for you. Be warned.
