(More customer reviews)We have had it in place for about two months with a single false alarm due to very strong winds. I have forgot to turn the unit off before cleaning the pool and the first strong stroke of my broom set it off but the automatic pool sweep does not seem to effect it.
The outside and inside alarms are very loud. Installing the unit requires drilling in to the pool deck with a masonry drill. I would recommend this product.

I don't think they explain well enough about the different colors of the bracelet and we are trying to coordinate two families. Also it would be great if they would add a little band that you could tuck the extra length of the wrist band. It is loud and reacts very quickly.

(More customer reviews)If you've got a pool and you've got children or neighbor children you need a pool alarm. This is expensive and doesn't work with my 16ft above ground pool. No matter how I adjust the filter outlet in the pool I cannot run the filter while this pool alarm is installed or it will eventually go off on its own. If you remove it when you run your pool filtration system it would work fine. I need to leave my filtration system on all the time and installing and removing this alarm constantly is prone to human error and forgetfulness which in a way gives one a false sense of security and in my opinion is dangerous.

(More customer reviews)We recently built a pool and have 3 children under the age of 7, so an alarm was a must at our house. We did tons of research and ended up buying this pool alarm. We have had it for 2 months now and cannot say anything bad about the alarm. It's a bit pricey, but it's well worth the extra money. We live in Kansas where it can be VERY windy. The heaviest rain and strongest wind has yet to set off this alarm. This is the main reason we bought this brand. All of the others sense movement in the pool instead of water displacement like this one. It has functioned flawlessly - arming and disarming exactly when it's suppose to. It works great too. We have occasionally forgotten to put it in "swim mode" before swimming and it alarms seconds after we jump in. I would highly recommend this alarm to anyone with a pool - it does it's job perfectly without becoming a pain like some of the other brands.

(More customer reviews)Yes there is no replacement for keeping a good eye on children who may gain access to your pool. But that is why it is called an accident. I have only tested this device in my utility sink and it seems to work very well. Gives off an ear piercing alarm for 3 minutes then resets itself. The wireless remote alarm worked great too and has st of N.O./N.C. contacts, if you wanted to hook this into your security system. The manual says the remote will receive from 200 feet "line of sight" distance.
Okay everybody today wants to learn by doing and playing with things. But with something this important you should read the well written instructions (only 2 sheets). So watch the kids and have one of these as a backup and try to prevent those painful accidents.

Believe it or not....a product designed to be near water and outside in the rain floods and takes in water at the first sign of rain. The circuitry fries and the product is done.
Whenthe product works, it works very well which is why I gave it a second chance, but at this stage after two units and given the cost involved, I suggest THAT YOU DON"T EVEN CONSIDER PURCHSING. If you chose otherwise, make sure that your warranty is in effect. As usual, however, Amazon comes through and takes the product back no questions asked. That is why I order here...
